Turkey Spinach Burgers

- 1 Large Skillet
- 1 Medium Bowl
- 1 Citrus Zester — microplane will also work
Ingredients
Turkey Burger
- 2 cups Spinach Leaves — thick stems removed, chopped
- 1 cup Cilantro Leaves — stems removed, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic — minced
- 1 Lemon — zested and then chopped
- 1 lb Ground Turkey
- 2 tsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tbsp Kosher Salt — to taste
- 1 tbsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper — to taste
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 package Potato Buns — lightly toasted
- 1 tbsp Ground Coriander
- 1 tbsp Ground Cumin
Condiments
- 1 container Lemon-Garlic Aioli
- 1 container Mustard — Dijon is preferred
- 1 container Banana Peppers
- 1 Red Onion — thinly sliced
Instructions
- Heat skillet with olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Combine spinach, cilantro, lemon zest, garlic, turkey, cumin, coriander, and sriracha in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Gently mix.
- Take a grape sized sized portion of the mixture and cook on both sides. Taste and correct seasoning as needed.
- Form into 4 burgers
- Cook burgers until golden brown about 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Do not press down on the burgers. Cook until 165F.
- Let rest 5 minutes before plating.
- Serve with toasted buns, aioli, mustard, peppers, and onions.
